New Resource on Child Health

Abstract

“The South African Child Gauge 2009/2010 brings together a unique set of empirical data on the health status
of children, law reform related to child health, and a set of clearly written essays describing what needs to
happen to improve the care and health status of children in South Africa. It is an attractive publication which
is accessible and readable. It beautifully weaves together the information on which much of nursing practice
is based: the scientific data, the broader context of health care and the possibilities of good practice in the
delivery of good safe care to children and their families.”
